Kick off to wedding season

This past weekend Jason and I went to our first wedding of the season.  We have 6 weddings to go to this year, including our own!  Our friends Tom and Angie got married in Hastings MN, a cute country town about an hour west of the Twin Cities. 
Not only was it the kick off to wedding season, its also the first wedding we've ever been to that played polka music.  Yup, Minnesota is a hot bed for polka dancers.  It was really fun to watch.  Fortunately for Jason he danced with Angie on a non-polka song lol.

On top of that the bride, who works at a bakery, made the dessert!  She started making five varieties of cheesecake about a month before the wedding, froze them, and had each guest add their own toppings.  I thought it was nice touch, very unique.

Since it was a little ways from our house Jason and I decided to stay the night...we used it as a mini vacation from wedding planning lol.  It was a great time!  We wish the bride and groom a life of happiness! (and homemade cheesecake).
